About Us
Helping Organizations Align People, Strategy, and Performance.
Center Point was founded on a simple observation: organizations often invest in technology, training, and strategic initiatives, only to see those efforts fall short because leadership, teams, and systems were never aligned to support lasting change.
We believe sustainable success happens when people, processes, and strategy work together toward a common purpose. That's why we partner with organizations to strengthen leadership, improve organizational effectiveness, and build the capability needed to achieve meaningful results.
The Story Behind Center Point
Built Out of Frustration. Sustained by Conviction.
Adam Cubbage spent the first decade of his career leading people in some of the most demanding environments imaginable. As a U.S. Army officer IN THE 82nd Airborne Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade, he led soldiers through combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan — including a tour as a company commander. That experience taught him something that no business school could: that the quality of leadership is the single greatest determinant of whether a team succeeds or falls apart under pressure.
After leaving the Army in 2009, Adam brought that conviction into the private sector, working with world-class organizations including Battelle and Gallup, two of the most respected names in research, analytics, and human performance. It was there that he got a close look at how companies across every industry approached their people.
And what he saw troubled him.
The pattern repeated itself everywhere. A company would struggle to develop its existing talent. Rather than invest in the people already on the team, leadership would look outside — bringing in new hires to fill gaps that should have been grown internally. Those new hires, dropped into an organization that hadn't fixed the underlying culture or leadership problems, would often fail or leave within a year. And the real loss? The organization's best people — the ones who had been there, proven themselves, and watched opportunity go to strangers — quietly started updating their resumes.
In 2016, Adam founded Center Point with a clear purpose: to help organizations stop cycling through that pattern and start building the internal capability, leadership depth, and culture that make people want to stay, grow, and do their best work.

The Most Expensive Mistake a Company Makes
There is a pattern that plays out in organizations of every size, in every industry, with remarkable consistency. A company needs stronger performance in a role or function. Rather than develop the people already on the team, leadership looks outside — posting a job, screening candidates, making a hire. The new person arrives. The culture hasn't changed. The leadership problems haven't been addressed. Within six to eighteen months, that hire is gone — and the organization is back where it started, only now with a higher payroll history and a little more cynicism in the hallways.
But there's a quieter cost that rarely makes it into the postmortem. The people who were already there — the ones who had proved themselves, who had institutional knowledge, who had watched that outside hire get the opportunity they deserved — are now quietly disengaged. The best ones, the ones with options, start leaving. The ones who stay aren't sure the organization values them. And the cycle deepens.
Center Point exists to interrupt that cycle. Not with a motivational workshop or a new performance review template. With real organizational development work — the kind that surfaces what's actually going wrong, builds leaders who can sustain change, and creates cultures where talented people choose to stay.
